Head of Data & AI (w/m/d) 80-100 %

Your typical day

  • Strategy & Implementation: You are responsible for our global data and AI strategy and ensure that the business cases are achieved.
  • Project Execution: You prioritize our use case pipeline and are responsible for its implementation, bringing the use cases to a successful conclusion with a clear focus on cost savings.
  • Governance & Security: Together with internal stakeholders, you will build a coherent data & AI governance and establish standards and corresponding guidelines.
  • Technology Radar: You evaluate new trends and technologies to keep us one step ahead.
  • Leadership Skills: You lead and develop your 5-person expert team (Data, Process Analytics, AI) and, as a coach, promote a results-oriented way of working.
  • Stakeholder management: As a strong communicator and bridge builder, you make project benefits transparent and guide projects safely to their goal.

Your profile

  • Experience & Foundation: You have several years of management experience in data management (data lakes), digitalization and AI environments in a manufacturing company, complemented by a degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar.
  • Process understanding: You are familiar with manufacturing processes from an industrial company and/or have dealt with them in depth in the past.
  • AI expertise: You have a deep understanding of AI technologies and know exactly how to profitably integrate them into real business processes.
  • Leadership: You are an experienced leader and see yourself as a coach who motivates their team to achieve peak performance.
  • Hands-on and results-oriented: You have a drive to successfully complete projects and achieve real business results. To achieve this, you are not afraid to delve into the details, remain persistent, and steadfastly advocate for your priorities.
  • Networker / Communication talent: You find it easy to quickly build a good network and you move confidently at all hierarchical levels.
  • Languages: You feel comfortable in an international environment – ​​you are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
