Internship in Security Software Engineering and Machine Learning

The Airlock Secure Access Hub is Ergon's security solution. Airlock ensures secure access management and prevents attacks on APIs and web applications. In addition to IAM and application protection, we also work on topics such as self-sovereign identities, machine learning, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.

What you can achieve with us

Airlock Anomaly Shield is a service from Airlock Secure Access Hub for detecting web attacks and other unwanted traffic. The service uses models and statistical methods from the field of unsupervised machine learning to detect anomalies in HTTP traffic. We are looking for an intern with initial experience in software engineering and machine learning to further develop this service.

• 
  Applied research in the field of machine learning and web attack detection

• Idea development and validation of concepts with test data and proof of concept

• Creation and further development of ML features and models in Python

• Implementation of the Proof of Concepts in the product (Python and C++)

• You will learn from experienced engineers in this field.

You already bring that with you

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable degree program (University / ETH / University of Applied Sciences)

• Desire to complete a 6- to 12-month internship during a gap year or to work as a student trainee alongside your Master's studies – ideally with a focus on software development, security, or data science.

• Initial experience in data science and software development

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex systems.

• Experience with Linux environments is an advantage.
