Data & Reporting Engineer (Oracle / SQL / XML / Banking)

We are looking for a technically skilled individual for our client in Bern who will independently drive data-driven solutions from requirements gathering to rollout. In this role, you will work on modern reporting and analytics solutions in the banking environment and actively shape the further development of our data warehouse and reporting landscape.

Tasks:

• Analysis of business requirements and translation into technical solutions
• Development and implementation of reporting solutions (standard and ad-hoc reports)
• Contribution to a central reporting framework (XML-based)
• Modeling and implementation of logic in Oracle databases (SQL / PL/SQL)
• Design and configuration of data flows, interfaces and data models
• Close collaboration with business stakeholders (finance, banking, payments, marketing)
• Support throughout the entire lifecycle: from analysis and development to release and rollout
• Ensuring quality, versioning and deployment (GitLab, JIRA)

Requirements:

• Very good understanding of data structures and data flows
• Solid knowledge in:
  • SQL und PL/SQL (Oracle)
  • XML-based configuration and data modeling
  • Unix / Linux (including shell commands, SSH, certificates)
  • Git / Versionskontrolle (z. B. GitLab)
• Experience with REST APIs and interfaces
• Experience with tools like JIRA
• Ideally, knowledge of:
  • Oracle Tools (z. B. TOAD)
  • Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Angular (advantageous for reporting interfaces)
• Experience in requirements engineering and business analysis
• Understanding of business relationships, ideally in the banking/finance sector.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clean data and reporting logic.
• Experience in handling individual reporting requirements beyond standard solutions
• Excellent German and English skills

General framework conditions:

• Start: ASAP until the end of December 2026
