Job Description

About Us

LGT is the world's largest private banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, we offer you many years of experience in managing substantial assets.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a Red Team Engineer to further develop our red teaming capabilities and conduct realistic, adversary-focused tests across our applications, cloud services, infrastructure, and workplace environments. This role combines hands-on offensive security with the opportunity to help shape and develop our red teaming program. AI will be used extensively – both for developing AI-assisted penetration testing and for testing the security of our own internal AI platforms.

They work closely with architects, engineers, developers, the Blue Team, risk functions, and business teams to translate offensive findings into concrete improvements. This effectively strengthens our defenses in day-to-day operations – not just on paper.

  • Expansion and further development of our red teaming capabilities as well as contribution to methodology, rules of engagement, tooling and reporting.
  • Planning and execution of penetration tests and red team engagements against applications, cloud services, infrastructure and critical systems.
  • Development and application of AI-assisted penetration testing – using AI to accelerate reconnaissance, exploitation, payload generation and reporting across the entire engagement lifecycle.
  • Testing the security of our internal AI platforms, including prompt injection, model abuse, data exfiltration and other AI-specific attack techniques.
  • Collaboration with the Blue Team to optimize detection and response. Transferring realistic and validated attack scenarios into new detection use cases, as well as conducting adversary emulation and Purple Team exercises to validate detection and response capabilities.
  • Clear documentation of findings, prioritization according to risk and driving remediation forward together with the affected teams; contribution to security standards, KPIs and reporting.
  • Support with incident handling and root cause analysis when offensive security expertise offers added value.
  • Close collaboration with infrastructure, development, operations, governance and risk teams to embed offensive testing throughout the entire security lifecycle.

Your profile

  • Several years of practical experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security.
  • Proven penetration testing skills in at least two areas, such as web and application testing, network and infrastructure, cloud (Azure / M365), AI, Active Directory / Identity or social engineering.
  • Practical experience with offensive security tools and frameworks such as Metasploit, Burp Suite or similar tools, as well as familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Experience with scripting and exploit development, for example with Python, PowerShell, Golang or similar technologies.
  • A sound understanding of the use of AI in the context of offensive security, as well as awareness of AI-specific attack surfaces, such as prompt injection and model and data abuse; knowledge of common frameworks such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK or NIST.
  • Structured, reliable and solution-oriented work style. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical findings in a way that is understandable and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent English skills; German skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call service.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated environments or in the financial services sector.
  • Offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, CRTO, CRTP or GPEN.

Applications submitted through recruitment agencies cannot be considered for this position.
