Join us in building the AI division within the Emil Frey Group. As a newly formed team, we will shape the AI strategy and operating model, develop governance standards in collaboration with Security, Legal, IT, and Data, and support business units in ensuring that AI delivers measurable business impact. This includes everything from business case analysis and risk assessment to the evaluation of partners and technical solutions. We manage the AI portfolio in Switzerland, lead projects, and develop AI agents and automated workflows. Internationally, we ensure transparency regarding the initiatives of national subsidiaries, enabling synergies to be leveraged across the entire group.
As part of the AI team, you will help build the new area, participate in decision-making, take responsibility for your own projects, and shape how AI works at Emil Frey. Product Owner AI Portfolio & Delivery
Your tasks
- Operational management of the Intake Gate: Recording, completeness and plausibility check of incoming AI initiatives (Epic), feedback to the business units with specific follow-up questions.
- Plans and maintains the CH AI backlog and prioritizes initiatives based on the predefined prioritization logic.
- Implementation & coordination of the risk classification and the requirements matrix
- Obtaining and following up on specialist approvals (CISO, Legal, IT and Enterprise Architect)
- Creates classifications for the governance recommendation of specific use cases.
- Implementation and coordination of the initial technical assessment in consultation with the Product Manager
- Takes over project management for prioritized AI initiatives, from analysis to go-live and success measurement.
- Cross-functional stakeholder management with the business units and specialist functions
- Creates, maintains, and keeps up-to-date the foundations and documentation (Confluence).
- Conducting market and supplier analyses in the AI environment to provide a basis for decision-making.
- Implementation and coordination of process optimizations in the AI onboarding and governance process
- Review and reporting of the success of implemented projects based on the defined success criteria.
Your profile
- Completed studies (ETH, University, University of Applied Sciences) in the field of business informatics, business administration or equivalent further education
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in (agile) project management of complex IT/digital projects, ideally with AI product experience.
- Leadership skills (operational management of a project team)
- Strong interest in new technologies and constantly stays up-to-date
; ability to design and build AI agents - Willingness and ability to help build processes and governance from the ground up
- Experience in data-driven prioritization and backlog management
- Good social skills with pronounced abilities in the areas of: communication, cooperation, organization, motivation
- Pragmatic thinking & recognition of connections
- Economic and entrepreneurial thinking skills
- Independent, structured person with assertiveness
- Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
