As a Data Scientist at ESB, you will contribute to transforming diverse data into levers for innovation and optimization in the course of advancing digitalization and the energy transition, and to actively shaping the intelligent distribution networks of tomorrow. This is your job: Conceptualization and optimization of data structures, taking into account the respective data types and their use; participation in the development and further development of the infrastructure for data management and processing, considering internal requirements and in the context of network digitalization, in close collaboration with internal interfaces such as CDO, IT, and OT; development and optimization of tools for data management and analysis, including the use of artificial intelligence methods; conception and execution of data analyses with a focus on network planning (target network), network operation, as well as reporting and statistics in collaboration with internal partners; ensuring the availability, quality, and reliability of the data and the derived results; holistic management of the data lifecycle from collection through processing and storage to archiving. What you bring to the table: Successfully completed university degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a comparable field; sound knowledge of structuring, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets, as well as in the application of data science methods; ideally, initial experience in the energy sector and a good understanding of technical and economic contexts; very good knowledge of programming languages ​​for data analysis and visualization, such as Python. Experience with R, Scala, or Power BI, as well as working with databases. A high degree of independence, initiative, and strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
