Job description

As a Software Engineer for Equipment Control, you will further develop the existing software for our production facilities. You will work closely with hardware, processes, and real-world systems. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy technical depth and plant engineering.

What you will do

check

Further develop software: you develop, analyze, and document existing software in Python and/or C++

check

Take on technical responsibility: you will delve deeply into our plant software and develop it further in a structured and stable manner.

check

Optimize & adapt: ​​you fix errors, improve performance, and adapt software to new hardware or interfaces.

check

Interdisciplinary collaboration: you work closely with engineering, project management and other specialist departments on system and integration topics.

Ensuring quality: you develop unit tests, analyze code, and create technical reports.

What you should bring

Technical education: you have a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable field

check

Industrial background: you have experience with software in the context of production or industrial plants (plant or mechanical engineering is an advantage)

check

Programming know-how: you have very good knowledge of object-oriented programming (Python and/or C++)

check

Engineering mindset: you work analytically and in a structured manner, and enjoy developing software closely related to hardware and processes.

Additional knowledge: Knowledge of Qt, PySide6, QML, databases or DevOps basics is a plus.
