Job Description

Our central IT architecture team, consisting of around 15 employees, works closely with our stakeholders to shape the evolution of our IT landscape. The focus is particularly on the application portfolio used within Zürcher Kantonalbank. This lays the foundation for the bank's technical innovation and resilience.
You will play a crucial role in our central enterprise IT architecture. As an advisor and strategist, you will actively shape the further development and strategic direction of our IT landscape.
Your tasks
  • Developing the strategic data and analytics architecture in line with the IT and business strategy.
  • Defining and establishing guidelines and guardrails (e.g., patterns with specifications, standards, etc.) for data management, data quality, metadata management, (Gen) AI, and data governance.
  • Reviewing solution designs (domain blueprints, target architectures, etc.) for compliance with the requirements of the enterprise IT architecture.
  • Close collaboration with specialist departments, IT, data engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into viable architectural concepts.
  • Evaluation and selection of technologies, platforms and tools in the data and analytics environment
  • Maintaining and further developing the current architecture models and data inventories as a basis for further analyses, e.g. based on data-driven architecture approaches.
Your profile
  • Completed vocational training or further education in the field of (business) informatics or comparable professional experience
  • We require several years of experience as an architect (solution/data/enterprise) in complex IT landscapes in the context of analytical platforms, data platforms/data warehouses/data mesh, and data visualization, particularly in medium-sized to large companies in the financial services sector.
  • Experience with modern architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), capability-based modeling, and working in agile environments (e.g., with Scrum, SAFe) is advantageous.
  • Extensive expertise in banking applications, IT solutions & reference architectures
  • Extensive experience in conceptual and physical data modeling for operational and analytical applications
  • Knowledge of common technologies in data engineering, e.g., Domino Data Lab, Tableau, Denodo, Azure OpenAI, Python, and relational/non-relational databases.
  • Very good German skills (at least C1 level)
