CONTEXT & MISSION:

Within a context of increasing needs for clear, coherent, data driven decision making and optimised clarity in communicating strategic direction, the Data Analyst role aims to clean, harvest and align data pools for the Global Travel Retail team in Geneva.
The role will work closely with all functional areas within Global Travel Retail EMEA & Americas (and Global when needed) under close guidance of the Managing Director, General manager and Finance Director along with commercial and marketing team members.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure clean & aligned data within ERP and alignment with operator provided data feeds, for example naming of POS (Point of Sales) within each data set to ensure consistency
  • Work with KAMs (Key Accounts Managers) and Commercial team to align data, carrying out checks to ensure accuracy and liaising with IT, Commercial, Marketing to cross reference data
  • Work with GM (General Manager) and MD (Managing Director) to build clear, consistent reporting templates to help amplify the channel across the group, focused on clear consistent reporting used consistently throughout the team
  • Build appropriate budget templates and timeframes to ensure Finance, Marketing and Commercial parts of the business are aligned, using consistent data and formatting
  • Create a framework for budget planning with finance and GM to ensure appropriate planning time and optimal message clarity
  • Help, through data and reporting, to build and amplify the Global Travel Retail brand throughout the group
  • Assist GM and KAMs to build review reports to showcase the channel and help build confidence and clarity
  • Assist with any data related exceptional tasks which may arise during the course of the assignment
  • Assist on pricing alignment on a global basis working closely with the RGM (Revenue Growth Management), alongside GMs and MD

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Degree in Business Administration or similar
  • +2 years in a similar position, ideally in the Travel Retail, Wholesale or beauty industry, and in an international environment
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong affinity for business analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Highly autonomous team player and quick learner with a positive and problem solving attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships at all levels and across functions
  • Appetite for change and challenges, and at ease in an international environment with remote and multicultural teams
