Your tasks
What to expect
As Head of Architecture, you are responsible for the operational architecture at Centris and ensure that our platforms and solutions are developed consistently, scalably, and with future-proofing in mind. You work closely and collaboratively with the Enterprise Architect, translating strategic visions into concrete, actionable architecture. Additionally, you assume the role of AI Lead, managing company-wide AI initiatives across all domains.
Architecture Leadership & Organization
- Leadership and further development of the team of solution architects
- Coaching and management of architects along the value streams
- Close collaboration with the Enterprise Architect (strategy, target vision, governance)
- Operationalizing architectural specifications into concrete solutions
- Responsibility as a gatekeeper for new technologies and architectural decisions
- Critical evaluation and classification of new technologies in the context of the overall architecture
- Overall responsibility for the management and orchestration of AI initiatives at Centris
- Establishment and further development of company-wide AI governance (guardrails, communities, standards)

- Several years of experience in the architecture of complex IT landscapes
- Experience in leading architectural or technical teams
- Strong in evaluating and classifying new technologies
- Ability to challenge internal and external partners on an equal footing
- Solid understanding of modern architectural approaches (cloud, data, platforms, AI)
- Experience with data platforms (ideally Azure / Fabric)
- Experience or strong interest in the field of AI / Data & Analytics
- Ability to mediate between strategic goals and operational implementation
- Confident demeanor at all levels (from teams to management)

At its location in Solothurn, Centris employs around 300 specialists from the IT and insurance sectors. Customers include Allianz Suisse, Aquilana, Assura, AXA, Baloise, EGK, Generali, Helsana, Helvetia, innova, Die Mobiliar, ÖKK, Solida, SWICA, Sympany and Vaudoise Versicherungen. In total, the invoices of around half of all insured persons in the country are processed via Centris' systems.
