BI Architect and Team Lead (m/f/d)

We are seeking an expert in data architecture, data acquisition, processing, and analysis for the position of BI Architect and Team Lead. If this is you, you would be responsible not only for managing, expanding, and monitoring our databases and data warehouses (DWH), but also for leading our BI team to peak performance, both technically and in terms of discipline. You will drive the expansion of our data infrastructure with the latest technologies, shape the roadmap of our data strategy, and empower your team to efficiently implement complex requirements. Your role will involve ensuring secure data flows while simultaneously establishing a modern leadership culture to sustainably support our company's strategic goals.

Your tasks in detail:

• Team leadership & development: Professional and disciplinary management of the BI team, including resource planning, mentoring and individual staff development.
• Strategic architecture: Planning, design and implementation of a modern data warehouse system based on MS SQL Server, as well as responsibility for the long-term technology roadmap.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Control of BI projects and central interface between business departments and IT for requirements clarification.
• Data Engineering: Development and enhancement of ETL/ELT processes and interfaces to operational systems
• Performance & Monitoring: Development and maintenance of monitoring solutions as well as optimization of database queries and index strategies.
• Governance & Security: Implementation of security and authorization concepts as well as ensuring data quality and compliance
• Innovation: Continuous monitoring and automation of database processes and strategic co-design of the infrastructure for future technologies

• Successful vocational training as an IT specialist or comparable education, supplemented by further studies (HF/FH)
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (administration, development, tuning)
• Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, preferably with SSIS or similar tools
• Knowledge of monitoring database processes, e.g. with PowerShell, SQL Sentry, Redgate or Grafana
• Excellent German and English language skills; Italian is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to cooperate
• High level of comprehension as well as independent, structured and quality-oriented work style
• Resilience and the ability to think and act logically under time pressure.
