The Department of Corrections and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (JI) and employs around 1,400 people with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures, the implementation of various types of detention, and the successful social reintegration of offenders.

To strengthen our Controlling, Financial Planning & Reporting department, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual with strong professional expertise and a pronounced affinity for data and analytics, to start immediately or by agreement.

Your tasks

  • You will actively help build up the controlling department, support the budget and financial planning process, and transform data into meaningful reports, data models, dashboards, and decision-making tools.
  • You identify and implement automation and optimization potential in processes and systems and contribute to the development of BI solutions and future-proof reporting architectures.
  • You actively shape the BI strategy and drive its further development and implementation.
  • You ensure high data quality, transparency, and reliability.
  • You analyze and interpret performance, financial results and key figures, and derive clear recommendations for action from them.
  • You will take on responsibility in exciting projects with cross-departmental impact.

Your profile

  • You have a completed degree in business administration, controlling, business informatics, computer science/IT engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • You have experience in Business Intelligence & Analytics and have already contributed to the development and enhancement of data management solutions.
  • You possess strong analytical skills and are confident in handling data, databases, and SQL.
  • You are very proficient in Excel and Power BI; experience with other analysis tools is a plus.
  • You communicate confidently and stylishly in German and have very good spoken English skills.
  • You meet the requirements for an impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal or debt enforcement register)
