Right place, right time. Every time.

In this role, you will work closely with operations, the Control Tower, Pick & Pack, and other LCN stakeholders. You will analyze real warehouse data, translate operational questions into meaningful KPI logic, and develop BI solutions that can be directly implemented in daily operations.
You will be given a clear objective but will shape your own approach to achieving it – with support from a Department Supervisor, a dedicated onboarding buddy, and regular review meetings. The goal is not perfection at all costs, but rather a visible impact on day-to-day operations.
This project offers you practical experience, insights into real-world challenges, and the opportunity to make a tangible contribution in a dynamic logistics environment.
This is a full-time internship lasting six months, starting in early September 2026.

Your tasks

Do you want to use data to improve real operational decisions – not just build dashboards? Then support our LCN team in Nendeln in building a modern control tower approach for flow management, backlog control, and resource planning.
Your tasks:

  • Development of Power BI visualizations for key warehouse KPIs such as throughput, exceptions, queue times and backlog development.
  • Building a predictive backlog dashboard with a 3-5 day outlook, trend lines, and volume forecasts.
  • Development of a resource balancing reporting system that compares planned and actual personnel allocations across departments.
  • Design of early warning systems for potential overtime or weekend work needs with sufficient lead time.
  • Design of an interactive control panel for shift supervisors and managers to support data-based tactical decisions in daily business.
  • Documentation of data sources, logic, KPIs and use of dashboards, so that the solution can be sustainably continued after the internship.
If you have a passion for data, are curious, and want to make a tangible contribution in a dynamic environment, this project is perfect for you.

Your profile

  • Studies in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Science, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field; ideally enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a passion for translating complex data into clear decisions.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
