Acting on behalf of the University Hospitals of the cantons of Vaud and Geneva, the role of the purchasing center (CAIB) is to structure and manage the entire purchasing process, from supplier strategy to contracting and performance monitoring.
Job DescriptionWithin the purchasing center and reporting to management control, you will participate in the development, evolution and management of decision-making solutions to improve purchasing performance, data quality and decision-making.
You act at the interface between business teams, information systems and institutional partners in order to transform data into decision-making tools.
This role contributes directly to the transformation of the purchasing center, data governance and the steering of purchasing strategies by category of items.
In this role, you will analyze the functional needs of business teams and propose appropriate IT solutions. You will design, develop, document, and enhance business intelligence applications, particularly those using Qlik Sense. You will develop dashboards, performance indicators, reports, and analyses to improve CAIB's performance.
You will also be responsible for the operation, structuring, and reliability of data related to purchases, suppliers, contracts, prices, and items. You will contribute to defining roadmaps for decision-making tools and participate in managing their development.
You support users in the use of the solutions developed and provide their functional support, and participate in the writing of functional specifications and technical documentation.
You assess technological developments, propose improvements to decision-making tools and contribute to the continuous improvement of data management and purchasing processes.
As part of the development of the purchasing center's data strategy, you will also participate in the integration of generative and analytical artificial intelligence solutions, enabling, in particular:
automated classification of items;
consolidation of supplier repositories;
anomaly detection;
automation of certain analyses;
improvement of data quality;
decision support for buyers.
As a proactive individual, you actively contribute to the development of a decision-making culture based on reliable, secure and actionable data.
QualificationsYou hold a Master's degree in computer science or purchasing, or an equivalent qualification.
You have proven experience in developing decision-making solutions, data analysis or business intelligence.
You are proficient in Business Intelligence tools such as QlickSense, Power BI or Business Objects, as well as relational databases (SQL).
You have a good understanding of technologies related to generative and analytical artificial intelligence and their applications in the field of decision-making.
Experience with ERP systems (Cegid, SAP, Oracle or equivalent) and purchasing information systems (Ivalua, PIM Nextpage or equivalent) is an asset.
You possess excellent analytical, synthesis and complex data modeling skills.
You are recognized for your rigor, autonomy, sense of service, team spirit, and ability to simplify technical information for business stakeholders.
Fluency in French is essential. A good level of English is an asset.
