Job Description

Ekkiden is an international consulting group founded in 2019: it unites an ecosystem of passionate and committed consultants who carry out transformation projects in the areas of organization, operations and technology, particularly in IT/digital, industry/R&D and sustainability, for large companies and SMEs in France, Switzerland, Spain and Germany.

In this role,
as a Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst, you will play a central role at the interface between business departments, data/BI, and IT. You will analyze processes and data, define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports, and thus make a significant contribution to data-driven decisions and the optimization of business processes.
Tasks
  • Recording, analyzing and structuring of technical and data-related requirements from the business units

  • Analysis and documentation of business processes and the underlying data flows and systems.

  • Conducting data analyses and evaluations (e.g. in Excel or BI tools) to support management decisions.

  • Definition of KPIs, reports and dashboards in close collaboration with specialist departments and data/BI teams.

  • Creation of technical concepts, specifications and user stories for data-driven solutions (reporting, analytics, automation).

  • Close collaboration with IT, data engineers and BI specialists in implementing requirements into data models and reports.

  • Continuous identification of optimization potential in processes, data quality and transparency.

  • Structured documentation of technical requirements, processes and relevant data structures.

Must-have
  • Several years of experience (5+) as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Requirements Engineer or in a comparable role in a data-driven environment

  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of numbers.

  • Experience in working with data and reporting (e.g., Excel, SQL basics, or common BI tools such as Power BI)

  • Experience in capturing and documenting requirements (e.g., using use cases, user stories, technical concepts).

  • Confident demeanor and strong communication skills towards professional and technical stakeholders.

  • Structured, independent work style and a strong focus on quality.

  • Excellent German skills (at least C1 level) in both spoken and written form; good English skills are an advantage.

Nice to have
  • Knowledge of data modeling, DWH or ETL concepts.

  • Experience in agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and working with tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Knowledge of process modeling (e.g., BPMN, UML).
