Junior Data Scientist Analytics Non-Financial Risks (w/m/d)

Job Description

We are experts in data science, model development, and machine learning, supporting data-driven monitoring of compliance and operational risks. Through daily dialogue with Legal & Compliance, among others, we foster enthusiasm for data analytics and intelligent models, proactively identify relevant needs, and implement solutions. Our expertise encompasses areas such as anti-money laundering, sanctions, and the measurement of operational and compliance risks. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a recent graduate with a passion for data analytics and an affinity for banking, particularly within the compliance field.
Your tasks
  • Supporting the Legal & Compliance team with all needs related to data acquisition, analysis and visualization, as well as the use of models, machine learning and/or generative AI.
  • Contributing to the further development of the bank's non-financial risk management through the proactive development of a strong data and model base.
  • Participation in projects including those related to money laundering legislation and regulations, sanctions, fraud, non-financial risks, or business intelligence & analytics.
  • Technical implementation of reports, data visualizations and machine learning models using Python, SQL and Tableau
Your profile
  • Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, economics or a related field
  • Prior practical experience in the banking sector, specifically in the area of ​​non-financial risks, is advantageous.
  • A good understanding of and strong interest in statistical methods, machine learning and/or generative AI.
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL, as well as a passion for analyzing and processing data in a complex data landscape.
  • Motivation and drive to delve into a wide variety of issues, to separate the essential from the non-essential, and then to present the crucial aspects in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
  • Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written, are absolutely essential.
