Fullstack AI Engineer (m/f/d) – Conversational AI

Your tasks with us
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing intelligent applications to automate complex business processes and for increasing service efficiency through state-of-the-art AI technologies.
AI Engineering: Conception and development of scalable RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems using Vector Search.
Backend & Orchestration: Development of robust Python backend pipelines and seamless integration of Large Language Models (e.g., Gemini).
Guardrails: Design of complex system prompts and implementation of security and cost control mechanisms.
Integration: Flexible connection of AI solutions to existing IT infrastructures and third-party systems, as well as development of agent interfaces.
Interface architecture: Design of interface architectures to embed AI-supported functions directly into standardized CRM and low-code environments.
Service: Taking over 1st and 2nd level responsibility as part of our on-call service (24/7 duty roster).
This is what you bring with you
Qualification: Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification with a focus on AI / Data Science.
Professional experience: Solid experience in software development with Python as well as practical project experience in the field of Generative AI and LLM infrastructures.
Software skills: Proficient use of modern software engineering practices (testing, Git, code reviews). Confident use of Google Workspace is essential for us.
Expertise: Excellent Python skills, deep understanding of LLM core concepts (context windows, embeddings) and Vector databases. Experience in deploying AI models and agent pipelines as REST APIs for seamless integration into enterprise low-code platforms. Experience with GCP/Vertex AI or frontend frameworks like Vue.js/React is a plus.
Soft skills: A pragmatic "hands-on" mentality, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to document complex technical AI concepts in an understandable way.
Languages: Fluent German (C1) and good English skills (B1/B2) for working with international frameworks and documentation.
Formalities: A valid work permit for Germany is mandatory. Please note that we cannot offer a relocation package (moving assistance) or visa sponsorship for this position.

Transparent compensation & security: Permanent contract and a gross annual salary between €45,000 and €60,000 (based on your experience and qualifications).
