Senior Generative AI Engineer (m/f/d) - Switzerland

We are looking for you to join our team immediately for a full-time position (100%) at our location in Switzerland !

Your tasks

Are data and AI your domain? Furthermore, your new challenge will be as follows:

• Professional responsibility for the conception, development and continuous improvement of demonstrators and technical solutions in the context of Generative AI, Data Science and Cloud Technologies.
• Consulting and support for our clients in defining and implementing sustainable data, AI and generative AI solutions – from architecture and technical steering to productive implementation.
• Development and optimization of modern data architectures and data warehouses based on current cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
• Quality assurance in projects – especially in the areas of prompt engineering, data science and model validation
• Leading or contributing technically to projects focusing on architectural planning, implementing AI workflows, and operating local and cloud-based foundation models.
• Conceptualization and implementation of internal training courses as well as active knowledge exchange within the team to strengthen technical competence in the field of Generative AI and data platforms.
• Continuous research and experimentation with new tools, APIs (e.g., OpenAI, HuggingFace, Aleph Alpha) and technologies in the field of Conversational AI, NLP, Stable Diffusion, Transformer models, and much more.
• Active participation in conferences and community events, as well as the presentation of technical innovations through lectures, publications, or showcases.
• Supporting sales and marketing through technical pitches, architectural sketches, and arguments in the context of customer acquisition.
• Active participation in the expansion of our Swiss team and collaboration with management and sales in the further development of our location.

Your profile

Is data also in your DNA ? Here's what you should bring:

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, data science, mathematics or a comparable scientific-technical degree program.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the implementation of data platforms, data warehousing or AI solutions – ideally in customer projects or in a consulting environment.
• Strong communication skills in German, Swiss German and English
• Practical experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks, as well as sound knowledge of the application of Foundation Models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Claude) and their fine-tuning.
• Excellent knowledge of Python (object-oriented), ideally also with Spark, as well as confident use of open source libraries (e.g., HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain)
• Experience with APIs such as OpenAI, Aleph Alpha, HuggingFace, as well as fundamental knowledge of text processing models, probabilistic modeling, NLP, Conversational AI, and Stable Diffusion
• Solid knowledge of modern cloud technologies, especially Azure or AWS, as well as infrastructure and deployment processes (e.g. CI/CD, containers, MLOps)
• Ideally, experience in operating local open-source models, on hardware accelerators, or with physical computing.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with customers, colleagues, and the community.
• A proactive, solution-oriented work style, as well as a willingness to take on responsibility and to travel occasionally in the context of a consulting activity.
