Job Description

We are seeking a specialist for an insurance company in Lucerne to help build and operationalize key data management capabilities as part of a data transformation . The focus will be on data governance, data architecture, master data management (MDM) , and data quality management (DQM) .

You will provide support not only conceptually, but above all in the concrete implementation , taking responsibility for delivering tangible results. The goal is to establish sustainable structures, processes, and artifacts, and to further develop the organization along a defined roadmap.

Tasks

  • Development and operationalization of data governance, MDM and DQM
  • Development of target images, governance structures and role models (RACI)
  • Definition and implementation of governance processes and architectural models
  • Development of MDM domain models and data quality rule sets
  • Development of KPI, monitoring and reporting approaches
  • Support with tooling and setup decisions
  • Implementation of pilot projects and ensuring the handover into operation
  • Participation in the implementation of data protection-compliant deletion
  • Empowering internal teams and their active participation along the roadmap
  • Several years of operational experience in data governance, data architecture, MDM and DQM
  • Strong hands-on and delivery focus
  • Demonstrable implementation competence (not just strategy work)
  • Solid knowledge of DAMA and Data Lifecycle Management
  • Experience in regulated or complex organizations (e.g., insurance, finance)
  • Experience with governance toolchains
  • Experience in agile organizations
  • Advantage: Knowledge of AI in data management , knowledge graphs, or architectural frameworks

General framework conditions

Work location: Lucerne (remote work component negotiable)
Start: ASAP (Q2/Q3 2026)
Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Workload: 80–100% (42.5 hours at 100%)
Language: German
