Senior Backend Engineer / AI Services [Bern, partly on-site, 80-100%]

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Java / Spring) with a focus on AI services.

You bring the following:

• Completed studies (Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)

• Language: German B2 or better

• Spring Boot (>3 years of experience)

• PostgreSQL (>3 years experience)

• Event-driven architectures (>2 years of experience)

• Container platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes (>1 year experience)

• Infrastructure as Code mit Terraform

• CI/CD pipelines for the automated execution of builds/releases and tests (>3 years of experience)

• Integration or use of AI services (e.g., LLM) or machine learning models via APIs

• Implementation of AI-supported functions in backend systems

• Use of technologies in the Java or Spring ecosystem (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring AI)

• Use or integration of AI frameworks in the Java environment (e.g. Embabel or similar frameworks)

General framework conditions:

• Syllabus: 80 – 100%

• Start date: May 1, 2026

• Your workplace is in a prime location in the center of Bern at one of our clients.

• Working from home is possible up to 3 days per week (only within Switzerland)
