Do you want to effectively embed data governance within an organization and further develop structured collaboration around data? As a Data Governance Specialist, you will support the operational implementation of data governance, create transparency regarding roles and responsibilities, and ensure the consistent implementation of governance requirements in the business units. You will work closely with data owners, data stewards, business units, and IT. Become part of the team and apply now!

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Maintaining and further developing the data governance framework (role model, standards and guidelines) in coordination with the Data Governance Manager.
  • Establishing and maintaining transparent role and responsibility assignments for business data objects (Data Owner, Data Steward) including traceable documentation
  • Empowering and supporting data owners and data stewards through onboarding, templates, and guidelines to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Managing, structuring and prioritizing the data governance backlog, actively tracking measures and ensuring transparency regarding status and progress
  • Preparing, documenting and following up on meetings of the Data Governance Board, and ensuring the implementation of the measures decided upon.
  • Supporting the integration of governance requirements into change and delivery processes, as well as ensuring the necessary documentation and transparency.

This is what sets you apart:

  • They have a university degree (Uni/FH) in business informatics, computer science, business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • They bring several years of experience in data governance, data management, business analysis, or a comparable role within a highly regulated industry.
  • They are highly knowledgeable about the operationalization of role models, standards and decision-making processes and are able to manage and promote topics in a structured manner vis-à-vis various stakeholders.
  • They feel comfortable in a regulated environment and always act entrepreneurially, solution-oriented and responsibly within the given framework regarding data handling.
  • They have experience in managing backlogs and skillfully balance prioritizations and measures from different stakeholder groups.
  • They impress with their combination of structured, analytical and solution-oriented working methods, as well as their strong communication and cooperation skills.
