Specialist Lead / Sales Data Management (m/f/d)

In this key hybrid role, you will combine technical expertise, strategic development, and sales skills. You are responsible for the professional management of data management (backup, disaster recovery, archiving, security & compliance) within our company and are also actively involved in the market. Your responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for the area of Data Management (backup, DR, archiving, ransomware protection, data governance)
Further development of the solution portfolio together with the corresponding team leads from Professional Services and Managed Services (value stream approach)
Monitoring of technological trends and evaluation of new solutions (Cohesity/Veritas, Commvault, Veeam, HPE Zerto, etc.)
Ensuring and further developing the knowledge base within the team
Building strategic vendor relationships and maintaining existing partnerships
Positioning Sonio as a leading partner for data management solutions
Responsibility for revenue and growth targets in this area
Identifying new business opportunities and developing market strategies
Supporting lead generation as well as marketing and go-to-market activities
Advising customers on data management architectures and strategies
Developing solution concepts and providing technical support for sales processes
Creating offers, presentations, target prices, and tender documents
Participation in customer meetings, workshops, and events Your profile:
At least 3–5 years of experience in a technical role (solution architect, engineer, etc.) Consultant) in the field of backup, disaster recovery or data management.
Initial experience in sales/presales roles or a clear ambition to embrace this combination.
Solid expertise in one or more of the following products: Cohesity/Veritas, Commvault, Veeam, HPE Zerto.
Strong communication skills and a passion for direct customer contact.
Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, and the ability to strategically develop topics.
Confident demeanor and a trustworthy personality.
Fluent German and good English skills.
Willingness to travel within Switzerland. What we offer:
