Tasks you will enjoy

• Data collection and preparation: Accessing data sources (databases, APIs, Excel, internal systems). Data cleansing (removing duplicates, handling missing values, standardizing formats). Maintenance, optimization, and technical support of our ERP database.

• Data analysis: Using statistics and business logic to identify patterns and trends. Development, optimization, and maintenance of database objects in Microsoft SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, indexes, and triggers, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. Conducting exploratory analyses (e.g., segmentations, correlations).

• Data visualization & reporting: Creation of dashboards and reports for stakeholders. Presenting complex results in an understandable way.

• Business support: Derivation of actionable recommendations. Close collaboration with management, marketing, finance, and product teams. Establishment of a data culture within the SME environment. Continuous performance improvement and optimization of data preparation. Further development of AI-supported automation solutions. Building a bridge between IT and business for future projects.

You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and strong analytical skills for working with complex data structures. You have several years of experience with Power BI in data modeling, DAX, and visualization. Furthermore, you have sound knowledge of ERP systems, ideally with PROFFIX. Experience in analyzing and optimizing business processes is essential, preferably in a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) within the retail sector.

You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, especially with software developers and specialist departments. Your work style is proactive, structured, and solution-oriented. Furthermore, you possess excellent communication skills and can explain complex technical concepts clearly and understandably. Fluency in both written and spoken German and English is required for this position.
