Your contribution will include: Ensuring
personnel, technical, and financial team leadership;
operating and further developing data platforms, as well as participating in on-call duty;
developing and administering typical components such as databases, ETL tools, query engines, API gateways, and backend applications on-premises and in the cloud; being responsible for
requirements analysis, specification, modeling, system design, development, testing, and integration of workflows, interfaces, and services on Linux/Unix/Windows in the backend area; developing
solutions for meteorology and climatology for the integration, transformation, and provision of data according to international standards (e.g., messaging and warning systems in air traffic); developing
APIs and gateways, and taking over and modernizing existing applications and systems.
What makes you unique:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, as well as several years of experience with data management systems in the cloud (AWS) and in your own data center (Unix/Linux);
confident handling of data pipelines and ETL products such as Pentaho, FME, and database products such as... Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle
scripting, or programming with AI support is desirable (e.g., Python, Java, PL/SQL, ksh, C, R).
Initial experience with technologies such as streaming (Kafka), Airflow, NoSQL, query engines, AI tools, etc., is advantageous.
Structured work according to ITIL processes with agile methods in operational practice is required
. Excellent German skills and knowledge of a second official language as well as English
