The trainee program allows you to immerse yourself in three different departments and build your expertise. Every six months, you'll take on responsibility for new projects and contribute innovative solutions.
The perfect start to your professional future! The traineeship starts on October 1, 2026 and is limited to 18 months with the option of continued employment.
During your traineeship, you will actively contribute to day-to-day operations and take on responsibility for ongoing projects from day one.
You will work on operational and strategic issues.
Your first assignment will take place in the Data Platform Team within Group IT, where you will...
... help to further develop libraries based on PySpark and Databricks to reduce repetitive tasks,
... you are working on a self-service tool for the Axpo Data Platform to relieve the team through self-service functions,
...and participate in other projects within the Axpo data platforms.
You can freely choose your second and third assignments according to your preferences within the Axpo Group (including our subsidiary CKW).
Completed Master's degree in IT, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (graduated within the last two years)
Good programming skills (e.g. Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, C)
Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms, as well as an understanding of data models, databases, SQL and CI/CD
Strong motivation for continuous development, willingness to learn new technologies and initiative to tackle new challenges independently
Ability to analyze and simplify complex issues, as well as logical thinking and systematic troubleshooting, even with incomplete information.
Reliable collaboration in interdisciplinary teams
Fluent in German and English
You will become part of the 20th trainee generation. Meet up for various events, such as lunches or visits to power plants. You will work in an international, open, and collaborative environment and make a valuable contribution to the future.
