Then this role is perfect for you: As Team Lead Software Engineering PCS 7, you will be responsible for the technical and organizational management of our software portfolio – from baseload and projects to on-call support and engineering standards. You will be the central point of contact between our Swiss location and the corporate department in Austria, balancing regulatory requirements, customer needs, and technical excellence.

Your tasks:

  • Portfolio & Line Responsibility : Youare responsible forour PCS 7 software portfolio (baseload & projects), prioritize, plan capacities, deploy lead engineers/PLs and ensure delivery capability.  
  • Team building & leadership : You will expand the software engineering team (hiring, coaching, skill management) and develop both people and methods.
  • Corporate Department Interface (AT) : Our templates and libraries are provided by the Corporate Department in Austria. You will orchestrate adoption, versioning, and rollout in Switzerland and coordinateAustrian resourcesfor Swiss projects. Customer coordination in Switzerland is your responsibility.  
  • CSV partnership : In close collaboration with CSV, you deliver holistic solutions. From regulated chemical applications to GxP projects in the pharmaceutical industry (GAMP 5, Annex 11/21 CFR Part 11).
  • Baseload & On-Call : You manage the on-call service professionally/organizationally (duty planning, escalations, KPIs) and act as a 3rd-level sparring partner for critical incidents.
  • Standards & Quality : Governance for engineering standards (CFC/SFC/SCL, WinCC, Naming), reviews, test strategy; documentation (URS/FS/FDS) and FAT/SAT; support for IQ/OQ.

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable technical field.
  • Extensive experience with Siemens PCS 7 (engineering & commissioning), proficient in CFC/SFC, SCL, WinCC, S7-410, Batch/S88.
  • Understanding of PLS ​​architecture (HW/SW layers, networks, redundancies, virtualization/backups, OT basics).
  • You have experience in the professional and organizational leadership of engineering teams. You motivate, develop, and coach employees, communicate clearly, and take responsibility in complex project situations.
  • You demonstrate that you are customer-oriented and resilient.
  • You understand how production processes work and can logically translate them into automation solutions.
  • Excellent German and English skills.
  • Advantageous:
    • MES knowledge and understanding of interfaces (e.g., Historian, LIMS, EBR).
    • Practice in a regulated environment (GAMP 5, Annex 11/21 CFR Part 11).
    • OT security (IEC 62443), Profibus/Profinet, migration/modernization projects.
    • FDS experience: You have not only implemented FDSs, but also written them yourself.
