Job Description

We are among the leading online shops in Switzerland, both in the B2C and B2B sectors – a combination that is virtually unique in Europe. Behind this success lies one of the most modern logistics systems on the continent: highly automated, scalable, and with further expansion potential. Since Roland Brack holds 100% of the shares, we determine our own course, independent of short-term shareholder interests and with the conviction that there is always room for improvement.

This is what you can expect

With us, you won't just design software, but also contribute your personality, actively develop the department, and shape the future of e-commerce. As a hands-on Team Lead, you'll be part of a friendly, cross-functional product team with a Product Manager and several T-shaped full-stack engineers. Together, you'll share responsibility and develop scalable solutions with real impact for our customers and key business processes.
  • You bring curiosity, team spirit and a willingness to learn, and you shape not only the implementation, but also the architecture, quality and the question of what should actually be built.
  • You work using variations of Scrum or Kanban. Engineers also roll up their sleeves during refinement and actively contribute to architectural and product issues.
  • You can expect plenty of creative freedom and the chance to shape the team culture and achieve impact beyond team boundaries.
  • At the same time, there is enough legacy, complexity, and established structures to truly make a difference with resilience and a clear vision, and to improve systems step by step.

Benefits

mobility

Free parking, financial contribution to public transport and pool vehicles for business appointments.

Insurance

Beyond the mandatory minimum – 100% continued payment of wages and full financing of the daily sickness allowance insurance by the employer.

Family

18 weeks of paid maternity leave with the possibility of extension and 4 weeks of paid paternity leave.

Development

Internal training courses at our own academy as well as financial participation in external training programs.

recreation

At least 5 weeks of vacation, plus the option to purchase vacation time and take unpaid leave.

Discounts

Attractive discounts in the Brack online shop as well as lunch discounts and staff restaurants in Mägenwil and Willisau.

This is what you bring with you

We'll match you if you
  • You have several years of leadership experience in cross-functional product teams - ideally in distributed systems in e-commerce or similar domains.
  • You have effectively established concepts such as psychological safety, OKRs, situational leadership, and an open feedback culture in practice.
  • You see yourself as a servant leader and actively exemplify a growth-oriented feedback culture.
  • You approach complex topics with perseverance and resilience, and are perceived as an optimistic and motivating beacon even in difficult times.
  • You work closely with product managers, truly want to understand problems, and think from both a user and business perspective.
  • Values true agility, short iterations, rapid learning, and data-informed decisions.
  • You are a strong advocate of "You build it, you own it" and have experience in environments where CI/CD releases occur multiple times a day.
  • You don't see concepts like DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, SOLID, Feature Flags, automated testing, or dependency injection as buzzwords, but as tools that you use pragmatically.
  • You enjoy pair programming, whiteboard sessions, and code reviews.
  • With your warm personality, appreciative communication and a good dose of humor, you create a strong team culture.
We probably aren't a good match if you
  • You prefer frameworks like SAFe or projects that start with a requirements specification.
  • You have primarily worked in highly regulated environments; without experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment with distributed systems.
  • You feel more comfortable with role models in which infrastructure, backend, frontend, testing and product thinking are clearly separated.
  • You simply adopt the requirements as they are already formulated, instead of refining them together with product management and truly understanding the customers.
  • You primarily see further training as the responsibility of the employer and do not continue learning out of your own interest, be it “on the job”, outside at an evening event or simply by reading a book
  • You're more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems - Spoiler alert: We're not there yet.
  • You strictly separate work and good mood.
