Job Description

We build smart digital solutions for BKW – from APIs to production applications. We combine AI-supported development with solid engineering: fast prototyping, uncompromising in quality, security and operation.

Your tasks

  • You develop features end-to-end – from backend services and APIs to data flows and, if necessary, UI components.
  • You use AI tools in a targeted way, e.g. for boilerplate, refactoring, test generation and documentation.
  • You ensure quality through reviews, automated tests, and security checks.
  • You reliably bring solutions into production and operate them (CI/CD, containers, deployments, monitoring, logging).
  • You work closely with subject matter and data experts, translating ideas and models into robust applications.
  • You will help to sustainably establish modern development practices in the use of AI.

Your strengths

  • You have in-depth knowledge of software engineering (clean code, architecture, code reviews) and bring practical experience in a modern tech stack (e.g., Python, TypeScript/Node).
  • You are familiar with the requirements for production-ready software (testing, CI/CD, observability, dependency management) and ideally have experience with container or cloud technologies as well as security topics.
  • You are proficient in using AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Codex, Claude) and critically evaluate their output for quality, security, and performance.
  • You move confidently within large organizations, understand complex structures and use them in a targeted and effective manner, and are interested in data-driven solutions in the energy or infrastructure sector.
