For the Schlieren location, we are seeking an experienced professional with in-depth experience in developing data warehouse solutions in the banking sector for this long-standing client , for the role of

Data Engineer

The Data & Analytics team is responsible for the central data warehouse as well as reporting and data integration solutions within the core banking system environment.

Her main areas of focus:

  • Responsibility for the data warehouse including historical data storage (e.g., transaction data, inventory levels, delimitations)
  • Development of reporting, BI and analytics solutions for specialist departments and management
  • Support for non-API-based interfaces (batch processing, file integrations, job control, monitoring)
  • Implementation of banking-specific procedures in the core banking system (e.g., mass data processing, interest accruals, special runs, regulatory evaluations)
  • Professional and technical responsibility for data migrations during bank onboarding (mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation)
  • Ensuring data quality and technical accuracy (reconciliation, plausibility checks)

What you should bring:

  • Higher education in computer science or comparable
  • Several years of experience in the development of DWH solutions in the banking sector , ideally with core banking systems (e.g. Finnova)
  • Excellent SQL skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL), data modeling (Star/Snowflake, historical models, ETL/ELT), high Python competence
  • Ideally, experience with Apache Airflow and Apache Hop or similar platforms.
  • Practical experience with BI/reporting tools , translating business requirements into semantic models, reports, key figures and dashboards.
  • Careful testing and quality orientation
  • Good communication and coordination skills with departments, module managers and project teams.
  • Open-minded, team-oriented and communicative personality
  • Very good German skills (minimum C1), good English skills (B1)
