Data Engineer – Business Intelligence (m/w/d) 100%
Your main tasks
Operation, maintenance and further development of the existing SQL Server data warehouse (on-premises)
Development and optimization of ETL/ELT processes for the integration of data from ERP, production and other operational systems.
Modeling stable and high-performance data models as a basis for Microsoft Power BI
Taking over selected Power BI development activities (e.g., customizations, extensions, substitution)
Ensuring data quality, consistency, and traceability for reporting and analysis.
Close collaboration with the ERP, digitalization and BI team as well as the specialist departments
Contributing to the gradual expansion of modern data platforms, especially in the Microsoft Fabric environment.
Your profile
Completed studies or comparable training in the field of computer science, business informatics or data engineering
Excellent SQL skills and sound experience with MS SQL Server and data warehouse architectures as well as Microsoft Fabric
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, especially in data modeling and backend structures
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and analytical data architectures
Knowledge of Abas-ERP or comparable ERP systems is an advantage.
Experience in an industrial environment, ideally in a manufacturing company like VERWO, is an advantage.
Structured, reliable work ethic and enjoyment of collaborating with specialist departments
Very good German and good English skills
