DWH Architect / Senior Data Engineer (Azure & Databricks) | Switzerland

Your tasks:

• Design and implementation of modern data warehouse architectures
• Managing migrations and modernization of existing DWH systems
• Analysis and translation of functional and technical requirements into scalable, architecture-compliant solutions
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Ensuring data governance, security and compliance with regulatory requirements in Switzerland
• Further development and optimization of data platforms and reporting solutions
• Development and assurance of naming conventions, self-service approaches and demarcation, tool proposals, guidelines

Your profile:

• Degree from a university or university of applied sciences in the field of information technology, computer science, business informatics or a related field
• Senior profile as DWH Architect or Data Engineer with experience in the Swiss market
• Solid knowledge of modern data architectures (e.g., Medallion Architecture, Star Schema, Gold Layer)
• Practical experience with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog), Azure Data Platform and Power BI
• Good knowledge of classic data warehouse systems
• Provened experience in migration and modernization of data systems
• Understanding of data governance and security requirements
• Experience in the insurance or financial sector, as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements, is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent German and English skills are a must.
