Data Engineer / Data Product Owner 80 - 100 %

What you move
  • At Suva, we are systematically building up the Data Mesh and filling this central role with development potential in the area of ​​Domain Data Ownership & Data Engineering.
  • As part of an agile SAFe team of data scientists and data engineers, you will build and be responsible for the data products for the future of data-driven claims management at Suva. You will work closely with data scientists, product owners, and product managers.
  • The position is deliberately broadly positioned: we are starting with the development of Data Mesh and expanding our understanding of requirements, implementation and operation with the first Data Products.
  • You are responsible for creating high-quality data flows and data products in Suva's claims management, which supply our machine learning models and analytical products with data.
  • You will define requirements for data products in claims management, implement them in collaboration with the team, and operate the data products. Depending on your strengths and interests, and the maturity of Data Mesh at Suva, this role can evolve towards Data Product Owner or one of our Data Engineers as the product portfolio grows.
  • You will drive the further development of our data products together with us. You will be given a great deal of freedom and decision-making power from an early stage.
What we expect
  • You have experience in the field of data engineering / data science.
  • Experience with tools and languages ​​such as PySpark, dbt, Python, and SQL is essential. Experience with OpenShift, Apache Airflow, and concepts like Data Mesh is a plus. Important: You are comfortable working in a modern, on-premises environment.
  • You possess excellent analytical and conceptual skills, combined with strong implementation abilities and a structured approach.
  • Good German skills are important for communicating with professional contacts.
