We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who enjoys improving CI/CD, automation and working on code base infrastructures to enhance effectiveness of entire engineering teams. You should be passionate about developer experience, have strong troubleshooting skills, and be comfortable working across the entire technology stack:

  • Github Actions, AWS, Cloudsmith
  • C/C++, Python & Bash codebases
  • The entire AuterionOS ecosystem

Responsibilities

  • Work within the BSP team and collaborate with other development teams to build and maintain efficient development tooling.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs.
  • Propose improvements and take ownership of the implementation. Your technical expertise will have a huge impact on bringing Auterion's drone products to market.
  • Provide expert support to development teams and resolve build toolchain issues together.
  • Write clear and concise internal documentation, in addition to contributing to the public-facing knowledge base.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, as well as release planning and task prioritization meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience writing object-oriented C++ and/or Python code in a professional setting.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects and environments using Github/Gitlab.
  • Experience developing tools and bash/Python scripts to automate workflows and improve developer productivity.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and artifactory servers (e.g., Cloudsmith).
  • Track record of building and optimizing automated testing infrastructure for unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Expertise managing C++ build systems and ensuring fast, reproducible builds across development and production.
  • Solid experience with Linux/Ubuntu systems, incl. network configurations, systemd and bash scripting.
  • Solid experience with Docker (compose) environments and qemu.
  • Strong skills in monitoring pipeline performance, identifying bottlenecks, and continuously improving build times.
  • Excellent documentation skills with experience creating runbooks for DevOps processes and tools.
  • Experience with MongoDB and Ansible.
  • Background in embedded systems and experience with cross-compilation.
  • Strong debugging and performance analysis skills with pro-active and autonomous working style.
  • A product-oriented mindset, with an eagerness to drive forward project initiatives across team-boundaries.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of electrical engineering and ability to understand schematics.
