Job Description

This is what you can expect

  • You design and develop efficient ETL/ELT processes, from optimal data connectivity to the provision of modern data products and self-services in the Microsoft Cloud (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, etc.).
  • You continuously monitor, analyze and optimize existing data workflows and provide analytical data models for our reporting and BI landscape.
  • You will accompany specialists from the requirements gathering stage to the acceptance of the implemented solution.
  • You are responsible for sub-areas within the analysis platform and thus ensure high data integrity and quality.
  • You actively contribute to the further development of the BI architecture, including the analysis and design of new technologies.

This is what you bring with you

  • Completed university degree in business informatics, computer science or a comparable field
  • Several years (>5 years) of experience in data engineering, ideally on the Microsoft stack
  • Very good knowledge of (T-)SQL, good knowledge of Python and/or PySpark
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models) or comparable Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of version control & CI/CD (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
  • A good understanding of data modeling, data quality, security, and governance.
  • Experience in advising internal clients and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience in the financial industry or in regulated environments is an advantage.
  • Independent, structured work style, high level of initiative and quality awareness
  • Very good German skills
