Data Governance Consultant (M/F)

Synotis, a SMILE Group company specializing in data project implementation, is currently seeking a Data Governance Consultant to join its team. Our services are organized into two business lines: Consulting and Data Management. We support our clients in implementing their data strategy, from governance to the deployment of tailored, efficient, and scalable architectures.

MISSIONS

• Needs assessment: Working with business teams to understand their data needs and recommend appropriate governance solutions.
• Data governance strategy: Develop, promote and implement data governance strategies in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Policies and processes: Define, document and maintain policies, processes and standards related to data governance.
• Data quality: Implement indicators and tools to monitor data quality, identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Training and awareness: Train and raise awareness among internal teams on best practices in data governance.

• Legislation: Ability to apply current legislation (Federal, Cantonal and European) to data

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree from HEC/EPFL/HES or equivalent higher education qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in data governance, preferably in the consulting sector.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work on complex cross-functional issues.
• Solid mastery of the contemporary technological foundation.
• Good knowledge of the tools and technologies related to data governance.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in French and ideally in English.

• Ability to unite and support teams with diverse stakeholders of different natures (business, IT, legal, etc.)
