Data Engineer (50-100%)
You can achieve this
- Gathering and analyzing requirements in the areas of data analytics and data science, documentation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Support in defining a scalable, secure, and high-performance data platform.
- Development of robust ELT pipelines for the automated integration of data into the Databricks platform, as well as optimization for speed and scalability.
- Design of scalable data models according to the Medallion-Lakehouse approach (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and definition of guidelines for data quality, metadata management and compliance (e.g. GDPR).
- Automation of workflows and data processes with Azure Data Factory and Databricks Workflows. Building CI/CD pipelines for jobs, notebooks, and infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Responsibility for configuration, user and access management, and implementation of security measures (access controls, encryption) to ensure stable and secure operation of the Azure Databricks environment.

- Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics, data science or a related field.
- Strong skills in data processing and modeling.
- Extensive programming skills in Python and SQL, and good knowledge of Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Databricks (configuration, job scheduling & monitoring, Unity Catalog, access control, etc.).
- High level of independence and personal responsibility, strong customer focus, excellent organizational skills and communicative competence in German.
