Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development

The Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development focuses on interdisciplinary developmental research that improves the lives of young people. The center’s priorities include research into the influence of families, schools and society on the development of children and young adults, mental and physical health problems in early childhood and adolescence, the development of cognitive mechanisms in the context of language acquisition, and the promotion of organizational skills for learning and studying. We are devoted to opportunities for training and exchange for young and established scientists. Each semester, we host a research seminar series and a stimulating mix of interdisciplinary workshops, summer schools, small scientific conferences, and visiting scholars.
