Universitäts-Kinderspital Zürich

As the largest center for paediatrics and pediatric surgery in Switzerland, the Children's Hospital Zurich, with around 2,500 employees, provides sophisticated services in inpatient acute medicine, in emergencies, in rehabilitation and in the outpatient area. The Zurich Children's Hospital is unique because it is the only hospital in Switzerland that is exclusively geared towards the needs of children and young people with a university mandate. The Zurich Children's Hospital is a non-profit and private institution serving all children and young people regardless of gender, denomination and social background. We treat sick and injured children from birth to the end of growth. We look after our patients competently and comprehensively, including their relatives. More than 8,500 inpatients and around 40,000 outpatients are treated at the Zurich Children's Hospital every year. Another 40,000 patients come to our emergency department every year. The Zurich Children's Hospital is planning a new building in the Lengg with the architects Herzog & de Meuron, and the move from the current location in Hottingen is planned for the third quarter of 2024. The new building will ensure both the operational and spatial needs of the children's hospital for the future. the move from the current location in Hottingen is planned for the third quarter of 2024.
