Founded in 1884, the Glarner Kantonalbank (GLKB) is a universal bank offering a comprehensive range of banking services from a single source. It has been a public limited company under special law since 2010 – the majority shareholder is the canton of Glarus. In June 2014, the company went public on the Swiss stock exchange. With its range of services, GLKB covers the needs of private and corporate customers. It focuses primarily on the mortgage and savings business, corporate customer business, and asset management and investment business.
