Seeking a professional Embedded Software Engineer proficient with LiDAR and photonics to drive the design and characterization of the next generation of 3D imagers for mobile vision applications in robotics and automotive. Successful applicants will be part of a skilled and dynamic team, and will contribute to the definition of a new generation of 3D imaging solutions.
Define and maintain firmware design specifications starting from requirement specifications. Develop and maintain the core firmware code base for novel LiDAR SoCs. Design and maintain low-level APIs to interface to LiDAR SoCs. Develop custom PC drivers, primarily on Linux and Windows platforms. Write and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, reference documentation, manuals,
and FAQs. Interface to the IC design team to report bugs and define hardware specifications. Provide technical support, primarily assisting during characterization and debug activities. Hardware performance evaluation. Data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
PhD or Master Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Microtechnology.
2+ years of experience as Embedded Software or Embedded System Engineer.
Significant experience in a related field (3D vision, robotics, photonics, or industrial electronics) is a plus.
Willingness to work on a hardware platform under development.
Demonstrated ability to manage a software project, including revision control, bug tracking, and continuous integration.
