Robeco is a pure-play international asset manager founded in 1929 with headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and 16 offices worldwide. A global leader in sustainable investing since 1995, its integration of sustainable as well as fundamental and quantitative research enables the company to offer institutional and private investors an extensive selection of active investment strategies, for a broad range of asset classes. Robeco Switzerland Ltd. is a FINMA-licensed asset manager for collective investment schemes. At our Zurich offices, we employ around 90 people in the Investments, Sustainable Investment Research, Corporate Services and Sales Switzerland departments. The Swiss location is a pioneer in sustainable investing, based on a commitment shaped by a long-standing cooperation with Swiss market leader Sustainable Asset Management (RobecoSAM), which was founded in 1995 and acquired by Robeco in 2006.
Robeco Switzerland is currently looking for a Full-stack Software Engineer (100%) to join our Software Engineering team. The team’s core focus is to support the asset management business by adding new features to the web applications used to report the sustainability metrics of our products.
Though Sustainability metrics are complex, we strive to illuminate the unique data that we possess and to enable critical insights. We do so by combining our portfolio data with sustainability data from multiple providers to create unique visuals and reports in both dynamic and static formats. These visuals are consumed throughout the Robeco Group to produce Factsheets, Client Reports, Marketing/Sales Presentations, and are sourced by other applications via APIs. We believe that better information helps shape a brighter future where all assets integrate sustainability metrics so that all stakeholders can thrive.
The Software Engineering team at Robeco Switzerland consists of 9 members: 6 Software Engineers, each having an affinity towards a specific part of the software (front-end, back-end, IT ops), 2 Testing Engineers and a Software Architect. We deliver software on a continuous basis following the Agile-Kanban Methodology. The team also works in close cooperation with other Engineering teams as well as with the Investments, Client Servicing and Marketing departments across the entire Robeco Group.
We encourage our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new challenges or come up with new ideas as we maintain our place at the forefront of sustainable investing.
