Intern data analytics & program management assistant (m/w/d)

Lonza in Visp is undergoing a massive transformation. With the carve-out of Arxada and the strong growth especially in Biologics the focus of the site is moving from Chemistry to Biotech. Moreover there is a constant challenge to increase efficiency following lean principles. The services and infrastructure provided by the Shared Infrastructure teams need to be regularly reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose, addressing the requirements of the Divisions in line with benchmarks and best practice.

The intern in data analytics & program management assistant will support the program in regards to data analytics, Power BI and will also support projects or even lead smaller initiatives or little projects.

With this internship, the intern can learn many insights in regards to a service organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse data in specific areas, mainly in logistics and workshops and related functions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to collect KPIs from SI infrastructure team and collect and manage it on a sharepoint. Visualize data in Power BI or Excel.
• Supporting the day-to-day program management activities.
• Support projects and initiatives in the area of logistics, workshop and related areas like engineering, purchasing and master data.
• Project management: There might be an opportunity to manage a sub-project focused on a component of one of the core team’s initiatives – depending on the availability of such project

Key requirements:

• You hold a Master in engineering, logistics, information technology, data scientist or a related field.
• You know Power BI, sharepoint and have strong excel skills incl. pivot tables.
• Knowing SAP ERP or other systems would be an advantage.
• You have experience to deal with a huge amount of data.
• You are a quick learner, have strong analytical skills, are focused on delivering results, independent, agile, a team player and are willing to adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Good communication and social skills are required for this position.
• Fluent in English and German.
• You have the required permit to work in Switzerland
• The minimum duration of the internship is 6 months

A minimum of 3 days on-site work is expected.
