Your responsibility
- You will take on organisational, conceptual and content-related tasks in the preparation of Open Government Data (OGD) and work closely with data suppliers from various administrative units.
- You identify new data sets that are suitable for free further use based on the data inventory that has already been created.
- You design, model and automate processes from data input to data publication and ensure data quality.
- You will process data from various subject areas and acquire the relevant basics (knowledge of methodology, etc.).
- You are proactively committed to modern data management within the cantonal administration by promoting and representing topics such as data cataloging (metadata), data standards or other principles.
your background
- You have a university degree (preferably an apprenticeship or further education in data science) and are interested in digital topics and modern public administration.
- You have in-depth knowledge of data processing/(meta)data management and the necessary tools (R, SQL, Python, Excel, etc.). Knowledge in the areas of geoinformation processing/geodata or visualization tools is an advantage.
- You work reliably, accurately and independently and have the ability to efficiently familiarize yourself with a wide range of topics.
- You are characterized by conceptual, analytical thinking and a quick grasp.
- You communicate verbally and in writing confidently.

Cantonal administration of the canton of Basel-Landschaft
The cantonal administration of Basel-Landschaft is the largest employer in the canton. Data and Statistics Office
The Office for Data and Statistics is responsible for conducting numerous statistical surveys and for publishing the data collected. It is also responsible for cantonal master data management in the area of personal, building and apartment data, as well as the coordinated publication of open government data. The office also oversees the accounts of the residential communities and calculates the intra-cantonal financial equalization.
