Senior Data Engineer – m/w/d

For our customer in the Basel area we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer

Your tasks

• You are SPOC for the stakeholders in relation to data engineering
• You maintain and expand the analysis platform and data pipelines (e.g. Databricks Lakehouse Platform) together with the analysts. When setting up the new analytics platform, you are in the lead and create the data architecture together with the internal stakeholders.
• You actively drive the automation of data analysis pipelines.
• You take ownership of the data & analytics platform and you are in control of its data streams.
• You analyze, interpret and visualize data for various purposes. You translate complex data into easily understandable information
• You will act as an internal consultant for data science and statistical issues

Profile

• Relevant college / university degree or equivalent training
• min. 3 years experience
• In-depth knowledge of app and web analytics tools and proven skills and experience in using these analytics to understand and optimize the usability of digital systems
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Prefect, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue)
• Knowledge of cloud-based data infrastructure and services (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
• Experience with data modeling and machine learning techniques as well as working with Python/R and SQL
• Experienced handling of Git and the command line
• Strong interest and understanding in the field of digital health and in the development and design of innovative solutions
• Very good knowledge of German and English
