About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing cross-divisional solutions to use cases that span across multiple business areas. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis techniques. They will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for using data to drive business value and will be responsible for leading data science projects from conception to delivery.

What your day would be like

Working with the Data Architect and Data engineering team to design and develop machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize opportunities for using data to drive business value
Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for use in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
Develop and implement data-driven solutions that integrate with existing systems and processes
Design and implement experiments/use cases to test the effectiveness of machine learning models
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Lead data science projects in the CDO office from conception to delivery, including scoping, prototyping, testing, and deployment

We would love to hear from you if you have

Familiarity with natural language processing techniques
Experience with cloud-based machine learning services such as AWS SageMaker
Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with agile development methodologies
Preferably a master’s degree in mathematics, engineering, physics or related discipline – a post graduate degree can be acceptable with more extensive practical experience.
Advanced quantitative, statistical, and programming skills – including experience in data science and analysis as well as in machine learning in the form of building analytical and predictive models.
