We are offering a position as Senior Team Lead, Power BI Service Owner (m/f/x) in our Group division in Basel. The position is vacant as of today. You want to utilize your Business Intelligence expertise to drive the development of BI products for one of the largest transport and logistics companies in the world? Then join our Centre of Insights and Analytics (CIA) Team in Group Finance! Our CIA team consists of over 80 colleagues with a diverse background in Business Intelligence which are located across various countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. This position is part of our User Interface Horizontal and supports our global BI producers in the CIA as well as local BI Producers in the Regions / Countries to utilize Power BI to the best of their abilities within the corporate governance framework.
As a Senior Team Lead, Power BI Service Owner (m/f/x) at DSV you are the Corporate Super User for our global Power BI deployment.

Key Accountabilities

• Establish best practices and support with the implementation for all Power BI components; Dataflows, DataMart’s, Datasets, Reports etc. including Governance Processes
• Act as a Business Partner and guide BI producers in the Business and ensure they comply with the corporate BI Standards & Governance
• Be responsible for supporting, administering, and analyzing our Enterprise Analytics Platform environment Power BI, including design, capacity planning, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring of operations
• Lead the narrative on our Global Developer Community keeping our global and divisional developers up to date on latest information and practices related to Power BI
• Work with BI Support & Operations to manage platform stability and access management
• Manage a small and decentralized team of BI System specialists in the User Interface team

Skills & Knowledge

• A solid background in Power BI and a good understanding of business requirements for BI solutions and an understanding of BI Governance in an Enterprise Setup
• Experience administrating and monitoring a large Power BI tenant with multiple capacities, servicing multiple BI use-cases and thousands of users
• Understanding of backend components like Azure Analysis Services, Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Lake
• Practical experience and competence with all Power BI components (e.g.: Power BI Desktop, Gateway and Premium Service)
• Knowledge of Power Query M and hands on experience in writing complex DAX queries as well as RLS
• A desire to help the business adopt the technology and possess strategic and creative problem-solving skills to fully leverage the technology’s growing capabilities
• The drive and natural authority to manage a rapidly expanding BI-Platform and willing to take ownership and act proactively in a very result-oriented organization
