Data science and data analysis for the benefit of society
You actively help to optimize the processes of financial statistics and to implement the increasing requirements of international organizations (G20, IMF, Eurostat, etc.).
Your tasks
- Specify, program and test specialist applications, databases and data interfaces (esp. API).
- Optimize data production processes as part of the PROOFS project (Process Optimization Financial Statistics).
- Simulate and test new technical and data requirements before acceptance and integration into data production
- Develop statistical, econometric and machine learning models for time series and panel data
Your profile
- MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Statistics or equivalent education with a focus on Data Process Engineering
- Very good active programming skills in R, Python and SQL as well as with versioning and deployment tools (git); Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 is an advantage
- Able to specify, program and test complex data production processes; initial experience with data production processes in the financial sector would be an advantage
- Analytical and conceptual thinking skills; able to present results clearly and concisely; very solution and team oriented
- Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of two official languages

About Us
The Federal Finance Administration (FFA) is responsible for the budget, the financial plan and the federal accounts. It assesses the spending projects of all departments and is responsible for financial statistics, federal financial equalization and for raising funds on the money and capital markets. The FFA also prepares the basics for the Federal Council on economic and financial policy issues and prepares templates that affect the National Bank.
