DXT Commodities, for its Lugano office, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Power Analytics team, as a part of the European Power Trading desk. The team mission is the application of advanced statistical and quantitative methodologies to extract value from various and extra-large data sets.

We are searching for a person passionate about quantitative problem solving and keen to explore business implications through continuous interactions within the team.

Tasks:

The statistical problems to solve will require exposure to multivariate time series and functional data analysis with particular focus on bottom-up physics augmented machine learning algorithms and graph-based models.

The successful applicant will develop, maintain, and improve forecasting models to provide quantitative support to traders.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background in Statistics or related fields
• At least three years of combined post-graduate research/professional experience in developing statistical models with a verifiable track record of contributions
• Proficiency in Python (R, MLOP and code versioning nice to have)
• Willingness to keep up with machine learning and AI advances
• Fluency in English, a second European language is a plus
