IT junior program software engineering in data science and actuarial environment (f/m/d)

IT / Bern / Students & Junior / Temporary / 50 - 60%

Study part-time with our IT trainee program - so at the end you not only have your degree in your pocket, but you can also fall back on a backpack with valuable professional experience. During your assignment, you will be part of an agile and interdisciplinary team that is jointly responsible for the development and integration of machine learning components and dynamic models in actuarial pricing and reserving.

You do that with us

Together with your team consisting of actuaries, developers and data scientists, you will take on a pioneering role at Mobiliar in developing and integrating new actuarial functionalities.
You will help us to analyze the feasibility requirements of project plans and advise the business partners on their work. Together we implement microservices based on JEE, Quarkus, Python and REST and ensure the operation of the components introduced (DevOps).
By using the latest technologies, you will help shape our shared environment with a lot of motivation and enthusiasm. You proactively bring in new ideas for the further development of the team and the products. You will get to know the SAFe framework and agile team practices. You actively help with the organization and implementation of sprints, PI planning and other planning elements.

You bring that with you

  • Current or planned studies (university/FH) in computer science or business informatics
  • Basic knowledge of programming
  • Knowledge of Python or Java an advantage
  • Independent, reliable, communicative and inquisitive personality
  • Fluent knowledge of German, good oral knowledge of English (B2)
