About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the Head of Data Governance & Framework will be responsible for developing and implementing a data governance program that ensures data is accurate, reliable, and secure. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of data governance best practices, regulatory requirements, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. They will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to define data policies, standards, and processes that improve data quality and enable effective decision-making.
What your day would be like
Work with the CDO to implement the Data Governance Roadmap
Develop and implement a data governance framework that ensures the accuracy, reliability, and security of data across the organization
Lead and co-ordinate the implementation of an automated data catalog, including any other data governance technologies for IATA
Assume the role as secretary to the Data Governance Committee and co-chair the Data Stewardship Working Group
Establish and maintain data policies, standards, and processes that improve data quality and enable effective decision-making
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure data governance policies and practices are aligned with business needs
Develop and implement data quality and metadata management programs that enable effective data analysis and reporting
Monitor and report on data governance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders

We would love to hear from you if you have
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field
Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA or COBIT
Familiarity with cloud-based data governance tools such as AWS Lake Formation
Certification in data governance or a related field such as CDMP and implemented data governance within a previous role and/or organization
Experience with data quality and metadata management tools and technologies
Travel Required: N
